About Henry Floyd and Floyd's Landing

The late Henry Floyd's dream for his riverfront property on Euharlee Road just along the Etowah River in Cartersville was to create a recreational area for all to enjoy.  With his own money he created picnic tables, a covered pavilion, swings, small huts for overnight stays, swings, fire pits, and provided trash cans and a portable toilet.

Unfortunately a number of misguided people disrespected not only each other, but Mr. Floyd's property as well. It came to a point where the family decided to close the area for any and all public use.

We are extremely grateful to the Floyd family members for allowing Euharlee Creek Outfitters and its customers the opportunity to be stewards of this wonderful hometown treasure on the Etowah River.

Henry was a TRUE champion of our community, and will always be missed.

Just like Mr. Floyd, our desire is to create a safe, fun water recreational area for the broader community and visitors to our beautiful and scenic Bartow County to enjoy.
